I.J. Hudson is Communications Director for Garson Claxton LLC. I.J. uses his 32 years of broadcast experience to provide firm clients with media training, media relations advice, and crisis communications consulting. He helps executives develop and sharpen their messages and provides “coaching” on effective communications through the broadcast media. He serves as media spokesman for clients needing to respond to media inquiries and also works with clients, such as developers of projects subject to government approval, to develop effective media strategies for achieving long-term objectives.
Immediately prior to joining Garson Claxton, I.J. spent twenty-two years as an on-air reporter and anchor with NBC-owned and -operated WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. During his tenure at WRC, I.J. reported on stories ranging from politics to public health issues to technology. For many years, I.J. covered the Governor’s Office and the State House in
Maryland. He became the first broadcast reporter in the
Washington,
D.C. area to regularly cover technology and technology issues in his Digital Edge reports.
